Personality:
Roxy is a casual, flirty and whimsical teenage girl who also happens to be hella intelligent and amazingly well kept together for having been an underage alcoholic. It's best not to assume anything about her, least of all that she knows what she's doing-- she isn't exactly known for making sense, ever. It's almost a skill.
Roxy is a lighthearted girl, upbeat and optimistic. She's not one to take things incredibly seriously, more likely to be relaxed and casually amused more often than not. Even while held captive and working for the enemy on the threat of many deaths, she still finds time to be fairly good-natured about it (and even make a fort out of blocks, because forts are sweet). Compare to her friend Jake, who instead spends his time being captive crying on the floor-- not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. Surprisingly even-tempered, Roxy is more bark than bite even in the worst situations. She's never been seen legitimately angry-- frustrated, vaguely rebellious, sad, but never severely upset. The calmest among her friends, Roxy is seen to put up with a whole lot of shit-- from getting stuffed into Derse jail twice, her friends' absurd love triangle and subsequent drama, among other things. The word chillaxed comes to mind. Even if she is somewhat absurd, Roxy isn't an idiot and always appears to have her wits about her.
Roxy has led a lonely life (though not on purpose), and it has left her at least a little bitter. She's a social girl who's lead an unfortunately unsocial life thanks to humanity's demise some 400 years before her life began-- which, also, she's managed to remain lighthearted in the face of being one of the last two people on the planet, the other one being thousands of miles of ocean away. It doesn't help that her best friend Jane refused to believe her on major things in Roxy's life-- even about Roxy's mother being dead. And deep down-- not very far deep down, even-- one of the things Roxy wants most is to have a mother, to have a family. She was thrilled when she first saw Rose in a dream bubble and recognized her as her daughter. More than that, Roxy wants to not be alone. It's why she took so long in sending her stolen cat Frigglish home to his rightful owner, why she has about a bajillion mutant cats in the lab beside her house. Being alone sucks, especially for a naturally friendly and outgoing girl like Roxy.
Roxy is, in a way, the hidden leader of her friend group. At the beginning, Dirk is the one who makes the plans and says that Jane is one who will lead them, but ultimately Roxy is the most level-headed between the four of them and the one who is most focused on keeping the peace (after sobering up in particular). Roxy puts her friends before herself, considering their needs and trying to help in any way she can. It also doesn't help that all her friends have crushes on each other, leaving her to flirt roleplay with her friend's auto-responder sunglasses because everyone else is "off-limits". This dash of bitterness doesn't keep her from helping her friends in their romantic pursuits, however, as Roxy is a loyal friend first and foremost and wants her friends to be happy. Which is tough, considering two of her friends have a crush on the same other friend. Like most teenage girls, Roxy is interested in romantic pursuits (well... or physical pursuits...) and is very flirty as a result. She has hit on every boy she's spoken to, aside from Caliborn-- but he killed one of her friends, so there you go. Admittedly "every boy" she's spoken to amounts to a number she can count on one hand.
Roxy always has good intentions, but she does have a habit of making less-than-sound decisions in the name of her good intentions (such as blowing up her friend's computer to prove that an evil corporation is after her-- though, to be fair, Roxy did realize her mistake after Jane did agree to believe Roxy's "conspiracy" theories, and did feel terrible about it). She never sets out to intentionally hurt anyone, she just tends to make big mistakes. That she is terrible at cleaning up, as well, sometimes. She doesn't always screw things up, though, and is a very caring friend and selfless person. Growing up in a slum-like neighborhood of aliens, them having taken care of her when she was too young to take care of herself, she has become close with them at least, even if it isn't quite the same as what having people of her own species around. Now, she takes care of them when she can, too-- stealing food out of the past to feed them and the like. And while her friends can't necessarily 100% count on her for much when she's drunk she does generally try to do her best and wants to help them out, because that's how Roxy operates.
And there's something big to be said for the fact that she looked at her biggest downfall, her alcoholism, and then sobered up. She saw she had a problem, and she dealt with it. While all three of her friends basically fall apart for six months, Roxy is the one who not only holds herself (and them) together but actually improves as a person. Which raises the question of why she was an alcoholic in the first place. To hear her tell it, it was because it was there and clearly a passive aggressive dare from her mother. Considering that her mother is dead and has been for hundreds of years before she was born, it's clear that this is more of an excuse for the fact that it was there, she had nothing to do, she never had anything to do, no one was there to stop her, so why not. As Dirk once put it, Roxy does "plenty of useless fucking around". When you're virtually alone, no where to go or be and no one to talk to except via computer... yeah, that'd bring anyone down. Finally having her friends with her was a big part of why she chose to quit drinking, though not the only reason. Roxy was ashamed of her behavior as a drunk, both in the way it affected her friends and also because she was sure that her mother wouldn't be super impressed with a drunk for a daughter. Who would be? And she knew that at some point she would get to meet her mother. Or her daughter. Either/or/and (the answer turned out to be and, since her mother is her daughter...).
While Roxy may be a bad decision making flirt, she is also a very intelligent girl. She's played around with enough science-y toys to have solid scientific knowledge, and a good enough understanding of computers to use a file to blow one up from afar-- while intoxicated, no less. Given that she has never had a day of school in her life, the fact that she can read and write-- or do anything, for that matter-- speaks to her intelligence more than anything else. She also is a lady of SCIENCE, as well as someone who knows what the red flag on a mailbox is for, despite coming from a place where there likely is no mail (this is a skill, considering how no one else in Homestuck seems to realize that you put the red flag up when you're sending mail, not when you receive it). That said, she is also prone to misspellings and doesn't care for capitalization, though that is clearly more from not caring than anything else.

Abilities:
► GOD-TIER ROGUE OF VOIDRoxy has reached the "god-tiers", a rank in SBurb. She is biologically immortal-- she cannot be killed unless her death is considered "heroic" or "just". A heroic death requires that she die while facing a corrupt adversary or by noble self-sacrifice for the greater good. She possesses the ability to fly, or float around.
Roxy's god-tier title is the Rogue of Void. The Rogue is paired to the Thief class; Rogue being passive while Thief is active, both deal with stealing and turning others' powers against them. While the Thief steals for their own benefit, the Rogue's powers benefit others. In Roxy's own words, while the Thief is the "asshole class", the Rogue is "basically Robin Hood". Void is the aspect of nothingness; "the essence of lacking, or nothingness" and "the obfuscation of knowledge, or its outright destruction". It has been stated to be the antithesis of the Light aspect, which is fitting as Roxy's genetic daughter Rose is the Seer of Light. The Rogue of Void can be defined as "one who steals nothingness" and this is how her powers described as well.
She is able to black-out surveillance, particularly video surveillance; this is a passive power that worked intermittently before she entered the Sburb medium and blocked the entire session from outside view. After becoming god-tier she is able to turn invisible/intangible, previously a skill only granted by use of the Ring of Void. Those with magical abilities to see hidden things may be able to view her, however, as when her friends Jane and Jake were powered up in Trickster mode they were able to find her (to convert her as well). Her primary big ticket power is the ability to "steal the nothingness" from objects, or in other words create things that do not currently exist. As she is very new to her powers, she is currently low in skill in this, so far only able to create generic objects (pumpkins and the most generic object) and only barely managed an object that was half-generic half-what she was actually aiming for (it was disappointing).
Her Void powers also caused her to sleepwalk through "dream bubbles" whenever she fell asleep. Dream bubbles are celestial objects within the Furthest Ring (an infinite space that exists outside of all universes, essentially a space beyond space; it is home to at least several "Horrorterrors" aka space eldritch monstrosities), which were created so that those who permanently died in Sburb/Sgrub to continue existing via dream. Most are unable to traverse these bubbles, but due to her nature Roxy was able to navigate them with ease. At least, while she was asleep. It is unknown if she has done so since entering the Sburb medium, however.
► OTHERComputer hacking; Roxy describes herself as a "hot haxxor bitch", and at least knows enough to blow up another person's computer via a file + download unsecured files. While the blowing up of a computer was using a code that was literally created just to blow up computers, Roxy can still be considered an accredited hacker. Gamer; Roxy enjoys video gaming, "retro" gaming particular, though all games are retro to her, uh. Given how little she had to do on a daily basis for most of her life, it is likely that she is highly qualified in video game playing. Her room was seen littered in various consoles (all pink) ranging from Nintendo
Estoteric sciences; including dark fenestrology, ectobiology, and appearification. All of these are Homestuck-specific sciences: dark fenestrology is related to fenestrated planes, which are windows used to view events elsewhere or broken to be used as a portal to other places (only Roxy has used them this way); ectobiology is the science of cloning, breeding, and genetic modification, which Roxy practiced to create... lots of mutant cats, though it should also be noted that she herself was created using ectobiology (as were all the kids and trolls within Homestuck); appearification is exactly what it says on the tin, using an appearifier a person can summon any object out of space/time to appear.
Roxy uses both riflekind and fistkind strife specibus-- in other words, she knows how to handle rifles as well as hand-to-hand combat. She also packs quite a punch-- her pre-scratch self was able to punch out an ogre. In general, has more strength than your average 16-year-old. She also is great at falling down/jumping down and landing on her feet, and is shown having a very strong jump at least within the void. She appears to understand Morse Code, or at least does when she's asleep and within a dream bubble. Given how much time she's had to fuck around, this isn't really surprising.

At this point, Roxy was used to weird shit going down. ("At this point", as if her entire life didn't consist of weird shit.) But this was extra weird. Possibly because of how not weird it was. It was the overwhelming sense of normality, of the sort that Roxy had never experienced. Ok and it was legitimately weird as shit. There's few other ways to describe finding yourself getting off a train you didn't board, at a train station in a city you've never heard of and which arguably shouldn't be able to exist. It sounds like a pokémon city, which is somehow the first thing she notices when she finds an uninformative informational poster.
The first few minutes are spent wasted on yelling out John's name but apparently wherever the windy blue doof disappeared to he isn't in hearing range. Welp, oh well. Might as well see if she can find anyone or anything that might explain what the actual f is going on here. She's already ruled out dream bubble, since this just... doesn't seem like one. Plus, she's awake. And not dead. She's a solid 90% sure on that. Leaving the train station, she uses her favorite neat power to be invisible, just so she doesn't end up caught unawares by something.
Roxy walks up the whole damn staircase before realizing she quite possibly could have flown to have a look at this "Ruby City" since it looks like one of the tallest buildings around. And from this height, it... looks like a city. Not a pokémon city, either, though that maybe would have made more sense. Maybe. She's leaning over the edge, peering down below for some sort of magic clue. Surprisingly there's no giant floating sign saying "hey roxy this is what is happening now". Okay, time for plan b. C? Whatever letter plan she's on now, that's what she's doing. And plan b or c is to start bugging the people she's glimpsed strolling about.
Picking the first person she sees that looks reliable, she turns off the invisibility and walks up to them. "Hey, you. Where am I?" Ah yes, a perfectly reasonable and normal question to ask a stranger.
